we're all about
the experience

"Not a lot of people can say that they've had work experience on the EastEnders set or have had their design displayed on the Curve at the Piccadilly Lights or been Production Manager for an College showcases - these are just some of the opportunities that this college had given me. These opportunities and the grades that I achieved allowed me to continue studying Technical Theatre and Stage Management in Higher Education and allowed me to be offered a place at one of the world's leading Drama Schools (RADA)."

Phil The Bag

If you have any old clothing that is still wearable, please consider filling up a bin bag or two and dropping these off at reception. Phil the Bag accepts all kinds of adult and child-sized clothing, hats, shoes, belts, handbags, and household textiles including sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers, curtains and towels. They also accept school uniform.

They do not accept: Blankets, Bric-a-Brac, Duvets, Pillows, Sleeping Bags, Rugs, Carpet, Offcuts of fabric, Any WET items, Tent Canvas or ripped/stained clothing. Unfortunately, they are also unable to accept towels, bedding and curtains from commercial organisations. E.g. Hospitals, hotels and animal sanctuaries.

Please bear in the mind that the clothing is to be recycled for reuse, so it must be in a wearable condition.

‘Phil the Bag’ has been organised by the PTA, who as a representative group of the student's’ parents work to raise funds by supporting and fundraising at school events. The money raised will be used to help students to experience diverse opportunities within the college curriculum. The deadline for dropping off clothing is 30th November 2018.

Shoebox Appeal

We are also asking students to please bring a shoebox into School. This initiative is taken every year to help give gifts to needy children at Christmas time. Please wrap the box and lid separately in colourful wrapping paper, mark if your gift is for a boy or a girl, and select an age category 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14 and write this on the top of your shoebox. Fill your shoebox with a selection of fun toys, hygiene items and school supplies. If possible, include one or two special items you know a child will love such as a doll, cuddly toy or deflated football with pump.

The deadline for shoeboxes to be dropped off at reception at the college, is 31st October 2018.

Please help support this worthy cause.
