What makes a UTC different?
It allows a student to study subjects they are really interested in, taught in industry standard facilities by teachers with real life professional experience. By 16 the students technical skills and enthusiasm will be highly developed through their experience of working on “real life” projects.
This could include producing and editing films, building sets and assisting back stage. By 18 students will have great qualifications, a wealth of practical experience, an extensive portfolio and a little black book of contacts which will enable then to step straight into the world of work or progress to University.

It is close to the University of Hertfordshire and easily accessible to a wide catchment area owing to excellent transport links.
